Privacy Policy

Pounce is built to keep your work on your own devices. It connects directly to the Pounce app or bridge running on your computer — over your local network, or its own secure peer-to-peer tunnel when you're away. There is no Pounce account, and we do not run a server that your code or conversations pass through.
Information we do not collect
Pounce does not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email, or contacts. Your projects, source code, agent conversations, diffs, and terminal output are exchanged directly between the app and the bridge on your machine — they are not sent to or stored by us.
Data that stays on your device
- Pairing credentials. When you scan a pairing code, the resulting token is stored in the device keychain and used only to reach your own machine.
- Cached session data. Recently viewed projects and conversations are cached locally so the app opens quickly. You can clear this at any time by deleting the app.
Device permissions
- Microphone & Speech Recognition. Used only while you hold the talk button, to turn a spoken command into text so you can steer an agent. Transcription is performed by the operating system; audio is not recorded, stored, or sent to us.
- Camera. Used only to scan the pairing code shown on your computer.
- Photo Library. Used only when you choose to attach an image to a message; selected images are sent to your own bridge, not to us.
- Local Network. Used to discover and connect to the bridge running on your network.
Notifications
If you enable push notifications, a device push token is used to alert you when an agent needs your attention. This token identifies your device to the push service only and is not linked to any personal profile.
Third parties
We do not sell or share your data. Pounce has no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. Push notifications are delivered through the Apple Push Notification service, subject to Apple's terms.
Children
Pounce is a developer tool intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.
